- I've been using USR stuff since '88 (been through and an still using
- about a dozen modems, mostly Courier dual HST and Sportsters) and have
- had only one problem (with a PCMCIA card two months ago) in that time.
- I called their tech support, held for a couple of minutes, got an RMA
- number (they didn't even ask if the unit was under warrany), sent the
- card in and got it returned (replaced) in about 10 days. No muss, No
- fuss, No bother.

- This anecdotal data is based on about 12 units over the course of 8
- years. Beside the one incident that your friend had, can you report
- anything else to support any logical conclusion based on real
- historical data?
